Generally, we tend to give off less-than-best of ourselves when we're tired, and that's understandable because tired people are often grumpy. After a long and stressful day, it's not easy to come home and be in a pleasant and cheerful mood to serve one's husband and children. If we can, I think we should intentionally reserve some space, energy and time for our spouses and children everyday, as God grants us Grace. For instance, instead of being extra busy in the kitchen and stressed out when our children (esp. toddlers) return from school, we can do a bulk of preparations for the meal before they return or over the weekends, to enable us spend quality time with them (playing, reading together, etc). Help us Jesus- this is easier said than done.

...so ...as I got ready to add a photo to this post on Thursday 18th January 2024, a Facebook memory came up - very aligned to the text above. God is wonderful! :)
"This week, try to give your loved ones the best version of yourself. Many of us are so quick and willing to show our very best to all but those who are supposed to be the closest to us. You are the most hardworking boss, the sweetest lady, the most patient colleague , the most understanding church group leader and the list goes on. What are you to your children, wife, mother, siblings etc. ?? They deserve your best version too. Blessed week to you all." Thank you Edinam Afua Adjei-Sika for sharing.
