Thoughts and words of a Ghanaian lady who loves God and people, places and memories...
and in loving memory of one of her favourite bloggers, Sidney Nii Sai Schandorf.

Tuesday, December 4th, I chanced upon a movie on Praise TV titled ‘I am Gabriel’. In the movie, a little boy was sent by God to a town of ‘Promise’ in Texas and God wrought many miracles through him but more importantly, changed the people of the town. Gab mentioned to a journalist who wanted to interview him about the happenings in the town since Gab came on the scene but Gab said there’s no story like one’s own story. That makes sense. No one can share your testimony like you...no one can retell your experiences like you. Some people may come close to doing a perfect job in those areas but may lack the backing of the emotions & sentiments which accompany the stories.

Friday, December 7th-Farmers’ Day, I again chanced upon an interview with former President J.A. Kufuor and the way he told his own political story painted a vivid picture of his life's journey...with dates, names and his own relationship with these.

Telling our stories is a way of evangelism...God paints different pictures with the stories of our lives and recounting how the Grand Weaver marvelously does His work in your own life could encourage others, give hope to others, increase faith in the hearts of others and introduce others to a loving relationship with God our Father, through Jesus Christ. Sometimes what hinders me from blogging is whether I’ll be getting stuff to put up but I have a story...I have many testimonies of God’s goodness that I can share and oh, I have lots of pictures! Like Kwor would put it sometimes, ‘start where you are with what you have’. God asked Moses, ‘what’s that you have in your hand?’ God is in charge of multiplying the things we begin, not us.

Selah.

 "If you've got pain, He's a pain-taker...

If you feel lost, He's a way-maker...

If you need freedom or saving, He's a prison-shaking Saviour...If you've got chains, He's a chain-breaker!" - Zach Williams

"A child needs also to know that his father and his mother are lovers, quite and apart from their relationship to him. It is the father’s responsibility to make the child know that he is deeply in love with the child’s mother. There is no good reason why all evidence of affection should be hidden or carried on in secret. A child who grows up with the realization that his parents are lovers has a wonderful basis of stability." - Christian philosopher Elton Trueblood

...."So help us God." Amen.
