Thoughts and words of a Ghanaian lady who loves God and people, places and memories...
and in loving memory of one of her favourite bloggers, Sidney Nii Sai Schandorf.

O

One motivation for my morning walks lately is the breath-taking view of the rising sun. Each day's pattern is different; a reminder of God's new mercies and varied blessings daily. Sometimes I see the full sun the whole period I'm walking; on other days, I only see a fraction of the rising sun. Still on some days, the clouds cover the sun and it appears as though the sun isn't there. No matter the pattern God chooses for a particular day, there is never a day when dawn doesn't break....whether you see the sun rise or not, the sun is always there! The patterns of day-break, the seasons and the weather in general remind me of the consistency of God's presence. In certain seasons of our lives, we see Him move mightily in His splendour; in other seasons, He seems silent and inactive. The clouds may look dark sometimes, and God may send rain in place of the sunshine we're expecting, but through it all, He works His sovereign will daily. :)

Isaiah 14:24- The Lord of Heaven’s Armies has sworn this oath: “It will all happen as I have planned.
It will be as I have decided."

The words of William Cowper in the hymn 'God moves in a mysterious way' are beautiful. Often, 'the clouds we so much dread are big with mercy, and shall break in blessings on our heads'. Truly, we must not 'judge the Lord by feeble sense but trust Him for His grace....for behind a frowning providence, He hides a smiling face'. 'His purposes will ripen fast, unfolding every hour; the bud may have a bitter taste, but sweet will be the flower'. The last stanza sums it well: 'Blind unbelief is sure to err, and scan His work in vain; God is His own interpreter, and He will make it plain'!

Never doubt...God is always there...whether you see Him or not....
Be not dismayed...God is always there...whether you feel so or not...
His Name is Emmanuel - GOD WITH US!
